Buttercup and Cowboy Nick came to the shelter as very young bottle-babies, when their mother cat disappeared. They have been together ever since, and did really well with their foster mom (hurray for foster parents who are willing to bottle-feed little babies!!) Like most bottle-babies, Buttercup and Cowboy Nick are extremely well socialized, and bond quickly to humans. We'd love to see them stay together, but they would be OK placed in separate homes if necessary. Because they did not have the experience of learning "street smarts" from a mama kitty, they would do best as indoor-only kitties, though could potentially enjoy supervised outdoor excursions during the day when they are a little older. The main photos above are from 8/26, though we have included one of Buttercup's baby pictures (awwwwwww). They were born about 6/15/10.

All kittens are spayed/neutered before release, wormed, microchipped, and vaccinated at least once with Feline Eclipse 4 vaccine (we vaccinate every 3 weeks while in shelter care), some of the costs of which are included in the adoption donation (suggested minimum $58; more gratefully accepted! Discount rate of $98 for pair adoptions). Most kittens will require at least one or two additional boosters and a rabies vaccination after joining their new families.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners.If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
