Samuel

Samuel is yet another Ferry County stray, in search of a good home. We are estimating his birth date as 6/1/2008. When he arrived on 12/29/09, he was a very scared kitty who really needed some love and TLC; he liked to hide in his "kitty cup" bed and pretend if he couldn't see out, nothing could see him... he has come a long way since then, and although he does still duck as if he is going to be hit whenever we reach out to pet him, he has realized that petting is a good thing, and approaches the volunteers for attention now. It looks like Samuel was abused in a past home, where he learned to be frightened... from the great progress he has already made at the shelter (from hiding in the kitty cup to lying relaxed right out in the open, that's progress!!), we think he will adjust quickly to a loving forever home.

We usually recommend scared or formerly abused cats go to homes without small children, just because the activity and noise level of toddlers can be a stressor for a scaredy-cat; they blossom best in a calm adult household. Samuel should do fine as an indoor or indoor-outdoor cat; anyone who loves orange cats, this is a great opportunity to give a special guy a second chance at a great life!

Samuel is neutered, wormed, and fully vaccinated. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All adult pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to adjust to each other. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! If you have found the pet of your dreams in Samuel , Forget-Me-Not will send your new buddy out to you on one of our regular monthly transports to the Seattle area (usually North Bend or Monroe) or North Spokane.
