Smokey-II was left behind when his owner had to move across the country suddenly. Smokey-II is about 6 years old, and is good with people and other cats; we recently discovered he isn't so fond of dogs, when he came ROCKETING out of his hidey-hole to pounce on a dog that passed by his spot. Oops. (Dog is fine, though startled - ha).

He is used to being an indoor-outdoor cat, and would do well in just about any situation. He is another shy-with-strangers type who is having a hard time connecting with his forever home. Smokey-II (we already had a Smokey when he arrived, but he knows his name) is kind of depressed and missing his home... we are hoping you, YES YOU, reading this, will have a spare sunspot for Smokey to live out the rest of his years (he could have 18 - or more - left!) We call him "speedbump" cat because he is really no trouble at all - if you want a calm, independent, non-pushy cat companion, Smokey-II could be the buddy you've been waiting for.

He has already been neutered and fully vaccinated, some of the costs of which are included in the adoption donation (suggested minimum during summer "Respect Your Elders" special $20; more gratefully accepted!) Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! If you have found the pet of your dreams in SmokeyII , Forget-Me-Not will send your new buddy out to you on one of our regular monthly transports to the Seattle area (usually North Bend or Monroe) or North Spokane -- no transport fee for adult cats on one of our regularly scheduled transports!
