Goldie is adapting greatly. Becky and I have had her over a year already, can you believe it?! Since we adopted her on Easter, her birthday is forever Easter. She has brought us so much joy this past year. She still shows a few signs of PTSD from her street days, like jumping out of the car while in motion last week, but she is starting to open up to strangers and play with other dogs in such a positive way.

Things are going really well! Goldie is adapting to her new home surprisingly well. She doesn't jump on furniture, her house training is on par, and she seems very happy!

We've been hiking together after work all week. She doesn't tire too easily but then passes out when we get home. There have been two encounters this week that do raise concern. The first encounter with other dogs arose on a hike when two hounds came up on either side. A little fight broke out but we were able to walk away. The second involved a cat at the pet store. We're working on her "anger issue" towards cats. She interacted very well with an older dog yesterday afternoon at a BBQ. So I'm hoping this behavior becomes more common. I'm looking into some training with recall and videos on youtube for help — what would we do without the internet?!

I am so happy with Goldie. She is the perfect dog for me! Thanks for all your help! Please tell everyone at Forget Me Not that she is thriving!
