Wanted to let you know that Ella seems to feel perfectly at home now.  We've settled into a routine in spite of work being done by contractors inside my house.  I can pick her up and rub her all over her little body with no complaints or reactions.  She even stretches her hind legs while I'm scratching & massaging - perfectly at ease.  She loves playing with one daughter's dog - the doxie mix, but the other, a border collie mix, is still a work in progress.  Just not comfortable around larger dogs, although last night they passed each other several times within inches with nary a reaction, so we're hoping continued exposure will eventually let them feel comfortable with each other.

Surprisingly, she does not sleep in my bed - will get up on it prior to my getting under the covers, but then jumps down and sleeps in a doggie bed under a telephone bench.  In fact, she seems to play a game trying to outguess me in what location I will sit down on next - and will beat me to the seat so I  must move her prior to my sitting down.  And she's usually right on!

Anyway, wanted to let you know that I think we all made the right choice - we're all very happy :)

she is absolutely precious!!!  :)  I love her already and she seems to be getting very comfy and relaxed.   Have only been with her since 10:30 last night, but we both seem to very comfortable with each other.  We have a gloomy, rainy day here which is conducive to sleep, and she is taking full advantage as I plan to do a bit later as well.  We think she may have a bit of Pekinese in her, but who knows for certain.  Do you know if she has been clipped or does her coat have that chopped look naturally?  Have never seen a dog enjoy stretching so much and so often - from front toenails to back toenails.

A great big thank you for all involved in Ella's relocation - am so glad we were connected.
