10/28/13:

How are you doing?  We hope you and Forget-Me-Not are doing well.  I wanted to send you an email and an update on Chowder, to show you how fantastic he is doing!  OMG, this dog is so wonderful that words can't express how thrilled we are that we found him, and that you chose us to be his 'forever' family!  I have been meaning to send you an update for so long, and you know how it goes, life just gets in the way and time marches on.

Chowder is 8 months now, so I wanted to send some updated pictures too. Chowder is fully potty trained and really turning into a fantastic dog.  He is smart and energetic and has completely melded into our family.  Chowder does get a little over-zealous at times, and wants to jump up on new people, we are working on that.  He gets along fine with the cats, and most importantly, is really great with my 7 year old daughter and her friends. We go on walks and to the dark park a lot. People always comment on how gorgeous he is, and can't believe he is only 8 months because he is a big guy. Chowder seems big, but the vet says he is 48 lbs. and feels like 80 lbs!  He is strong as an ox!

I will keep you posted and wanted to say thank you again for our sweet boy!

Chowder is doing fabulous! I am taking today off and I will go on and will do my update and will add pictures. Chowder is growing and so pretty. Leah loves him and has not had any problems; once in a while now he still gets 'puppy aggressive' but she is learning to distract him with a toy.

I will send more later today.
