So far, they don't appear to have done any damage to Andy's skin. I guess it really is just weirdness.

The little boys are getting along really well now, and play very energetically all through the day, and night. Since they do still insist on being spaztastic all night, they're still getting locked up at night. I could probably ignore their antics, but I cannot ignore the 150 lbs of worried dog, who is either trying to hide from them, or upset because they stole his bed.

So, attached pictures this time, are the babies being cute, the babies being weird/gross, and Andy out exploring the living room, just a few feet away from the Pony.

Things are going pretty well. The baby kitties, (renamed Bobby & Andy) are having lots of fun together. Andy, (formerly Nero) still has no interest in leaving the bath/bedroom area, but is becoming accustomed to the presence of Pony each night. We've had no more litter box accidents, but he still sniffs around and cries before he'll go in and use the box.

Now for the weird part.. I got a brush to get rid of all the matting in Andy's coat. He loves being brushed, and doesn't mind having the mats gently worked out. Every time I brush him though, he's got new, significant mats on his tummy. I finally found out what the cause is. Both kitties are suckling mouthfuls of fur, right over the top of his non-existent nipples.

It's a very strange thing to see, and I think it would be ok, but I'm worried about the skin under and around the area they're sucking on. Do you know of anything safe for kitties that I could put on the skin if it begins to look chapped? I don't know if mama kitties ever need anything, but I thought it would be a good idea to find out.

Picture is of the babies on my bed. So cute.

It's really kind of sweet. They seem to be getting along really well now. Interestingly, Mr Kitty has no jealousy about me petting or holding Nero, but he gets frustrated if Nero seeks attention other than his.

Anyway, Mr. Kitty keeps looking for his beds. He can't figure out why his soft places went away, but they spend a lot of time being a pile of kitties, so I suppose he's just fine.

Also, Nero met Pony today. He is not amused, and does not understand the idea of letting that giant thing sniff him, and give kisses. I opened all the doors so the little boys could come into the rest of the house to visit... He took one look at the dog, and retreated into the furthest corner of the bathroom.

While I'm happy to see that my tiny kitty is happy with his new friend, I do wish he'd still cuddle with me now and then. Nero is getting all my baby snuggles. Nero however, is a Velcro kitty, who wants to be surgically attached to me. He swears that no one has ever petted him before, not ever ever. I told him I saw a video, but he's clinging to his story. ;)

With the morning light, (after a long night of yowling, growling, howling, and *someone* clearing off my bathroom counters) we have some peace, and playtime.

Mr. Kitty is still being a jerk, and playing too rough, but Nero is being patient, and only kicking his ass when truly necessary. He's even let Mr. Kitty try to nurse from his tummy. He took that experience with a  lot more grace than Pony did. Mr. Kitty apparently needs a binky.

Anyhow, I was able to get a few quick pictures of the babies together. They're not big on holding still.
