It has been a WONDERFUL 2 1/2 weeks since we brought home Dolittle now lovingly called Sophie (my daughter is still working on the purr-fect middle name for her). We have completely fallen in love with Sophie. She has a wonderful easy-going personality...very friendly, playful, snuggly and forever curious. Her being brought up so well at the shelter made it a very easy transition; no problems what so ever with her feeding, litter box and sleep habits (she loves her cat bed with my daughter's old baby blankie in there to keep her warm) - she adjusted very well to her new surroundings.

She was patient during her ride home and ventured out of her carrier in a few minutes. You were right when you said it wouldn't take her long to come out and explore after we brought her home that first day. Once she was out she cautiously set out to sniff and explore her new home. She was soon playing with her new toys and later settled in a cosy spot between us on the couch enjoying all the attention!

She gets a new twisty tie every morning and she goes nuts chasing it around. Her other favorite is her little mouse toy which she carries around after she's done playing with and ofcourse any wand toy. :) She LOVES to be cuddled and held and is a purr-er and talkative too . Her playful nature is perfect for my 6 year old who immediately declared that Sophie is "my only best friend" in this house because "we are the kids." :-)

She now enjoys exploring our backyard for short periods and has met our neighbor cat (which thankfully went uneventful) . She makes friends with anyone who comes home and we already have friends asking about her all the time.

We absolutely adore our little fluffy bundle of joy! She just makes all of us so happy and we love coming home to Sophie.
