Ginger is doing fine, and loves to play with her ball. She is liking her big yard, and as well the dog park that I take her to. She even had her first camping trip on Mother's Day weekend and she did great. I and Mike are enjoying her very much, and she's become my puppy.

She has changed in her looks, and does look more like a pitbull. But we don't care, she's one of the family, and she's knows it... Am waiting for the weather to get warmer, so that I can take her to the lake and have her go into the water. She has experienced the water when we took her camping, but she wasn't too sure of it then. Otherwise, she's been a very good addition to the family, and she is very smart. She has learned as to shaking her paw, already.

Ginger is enjoying her big yard, and is playing ball. She loves to do that a lot. When she goes out to do her business, she is rewarded with a milkbone, where she knows where their at.

Ginger is a wonderful piece to our puzzle. She loves to go for car rides when possible, and she is starting to get use to the cats as well as them with her. So, it has been a very interesting time, and she loves to play. My next task is to teach her to shake.

3/3/12:

Well, here it is now 3 months already...  She's growing so much, is 50 pounds now.  She's been attending pup social at Petco recently, and for the next few weeks, they are in transition of getting a new trainer to take this other pet trainer that was providing it. The gal that was doing the puppy social on Saturday.

She's enjoying us very much and she is a mommy's girl!! I take her nightly, weather permitting, for a walk which she loves.  I have her on a gentle leash, and is doing great with it.  And we can allow her to be off of her leash when we take her out to do her business.

We are hoping to come this summer for a visit with you and her foster parents if  they are able, will keep you posted on that later. She's been very much a great addition to the family and she loves us just as much also. And she likes to go for car rides which she does many times during the week. Shopping, going for refueling the car/truck, and what ever else she can.

1/17/12:

She now weighs about 31-32 pounds. We are expecting a bunch of snow overnight and into the am hours, and will be taking her back out into it to play with her. She likes to be given a snowball and then she takes it and rubs her nose into the snow to find it. She's a hoot to be around. She's still trying to make friends with our cats, but no luck so far, but not giving up.... I know that they will get along with her as soon as she settles down.

Happy Holidays.... Just wanted to let you know that Ginger is doing great with potty training... We worked with her with the tethering method, and it seems it worked. She is now letting us know as to when she needs to go outside to do her business. She's been going for car rides, and also has a reputation at the Petsmart that I've been going to. I've been taking her for walks before I go to bed, and that is a great help. She now weighs 25 lbs, and grew an inch. The only thing that she is still having problems is that she is chasing the cats around the room. I know that sooner or later, she'll figure it out. And I have taken her to the docs to get her shot as scheduled. She is doing good otherwise...

12/6/11:

Wanted to let you know that Ginger is doing wonderfully. She's been great at walking on the leash. She does pee a lot, and she's just seen our vet today. I got her on the Advantage for fleas, and she will get her next shot on the 18th. She's been to Petsmart and picked out a toy. She is becoming a mommy's girl....!! I am now looking forward to coming home and seeing her adorable face.

I've been letting her be petted by others and she's been doing great. I am very surprised as to how well she has been adapting to us. So, she's a keeper!!!

She's got a harness collar, and a pretty pink name tag on it. So, let all of those who were part of her life know that she's very well and is doing great!!! I and my hubby are doing shifts of keeping her active during the day and giving her walks.

She was great on the first night, she whimpered a little, but I shhh'd her and she went to sleep. I took a picture of her and will send you a copy of it as soon as I can. The cats are getting used to her slowly and I think that they will get along shortly. Well, have to get back to watching her.
