Adopted February 2011 (yay for Canadian adopters!)

3/30/11:

Just wanted to share the wonderful news, Dozer is home after 10days of being lost. He was tired, hungry, dirty, but so happy to see us!! Thank you for your support and kind words!!

Yes, there are many happy endings for lost dogs, when their people are as responsible as Dozer's people! Do what they did - always make sure your pet has up-to-date identification - preferably both a collar/tag and a microchip. Notify all neighbors and local rescue groups immediately. Use those great photos to make flyers... network... call and call again... and don't give up! If all people were like Dozer's people, there would be far fewer stray dogs in animal shelters. We are so proud of them!

3/23/11 (posting this because these adopters did EVERYTHING right for a lost dog, wow!):

We adopted Blake from your wonderful shelter; black chow x, 2-3 years old. What a wonderful dog! We love him very much. Very timid, but loves to be with us at all times. Unfortunately, on Sunday afternoon he was outside with us doing chores, he wandered off and we have not seen him since. We walked all over our place and down the road/tracks both ways, calling him "Dozer" (his new name, he likes to sleep on everyones feet), talking to our neighbours. Contacted our local SPCA and pet finder. We live on the border and wondered if he wandered into the US, as we can't go looking for him there. I did register his microchip, he has a local RDKB tag and if someone finds him they will contact us, hopefully. Not sure if you can help at all, but if you hear about him or he is found, any news, please contact us. We miss him soooo much.
