9/20/11:

She and I came to an agreement concerning my flowers. I put up a 2ft fence around them and she promised not to jump it. Has worked real well. She stands nearly to Bears shoulder now and is growing daily. They both go to the doc tomorrow for rabies shots. Hopefully she won't barf again. She is so bright, with a bit of a stubborn streak in her. Bob fell in love with her when he was home. She, or someone, is quite the hunter. I have found her eating squirrel a couple of time. Will ask doc about any problems possible related to her diet.

9/2/11:

Well, a little update on Bear and his shadow. Rarely are they ever apart. Daisy is growing like a weed. Ornery as heck. Very bright. I was scolding her yesterday for messing in my lilies, she looked at me, barked a time or two and walked away. Then when I was putting a fence around the flowers, she gave me heck. They are so much fun to watch together.

She did have a bit of a scare a week or so back. They were down by the horse shed at 0600 when a coyote apparently tried to get her. I am sorry to say that Bear "took it out" while protecting her. He and she suffered not even a scratch. He is so patient with her. She and the cats are doing just fine together except for fussy Isabel who wants nothing to do with the new kid on the block.

Well, Bear and Daisy are getting along just fine. They are a riot to watch together sometimes (bear and his shadow). He rarely leaves her behind. They are both such attention hounds. The cats are a little put off, but they will get used to her. Her appetite was off the 1st day or so, but has picked back up real well. She must have had 1 heck of a lunch just before I picked her up-she barfed big time on the way home (that's better than poop) in the car. She is very bright and is learning fast and is already starting to come when I call. Will keep you posted. Let me know if you find out anything about her dad. That curly tail and brindle color had to come from somewhere. And she does have some pretty good sized feet on her.
